Meditation and Sleep App for a Dutch Wellness Subscription
Designed and built a clickable content studio console for a Dutch meditation and sleep subscription in four languages: a pipeline that takes every session from brief to release, mastering checks against the house loudness standard, a rights register that warns before licences run out, and growth experiments that cannot start without an ethics review.
Most of our work is under NDA. Per agreement, we can share the work but not the company details - all names and identifying information shown here have been changed.
Studio dashboard, content pipeline as board and table, the content item with 8 tabs from brief to activity, licences and rights, and experiments with a detail panel for design, review and results.
Every mastering run is checked against -16 LUFS integrated and a true peak of -1 dBTP or lower. A file at -0.4 dBTP fails, and the item cannot leave Mastering until it is re-run and passes.
Cancellation rate, refund requests, support complaints, notification opt-outs and uninstall rate, each with a limit. In the demo a reminder-copy test is stopped when opt-outs rise 0.71 pp against a 0.5 pp limit.
27 content items across 8 pipeline stages in NL, EN, DE and FR, 11 narrators, composers and writers, 18 licences, 10 experiments and 10 staff users in 9 roles.
Zeegras launched with a white-label player and a spreadsheet of 400 audio files. Scripts lived in shared documents, recordings arrived by file transfer and nobody knew which music licences ran out next month, so a rights holder once had a sleep story pulled with two days' notice. Dutch and German versions drifted from the English originals, the old app hid cancellation behind three screens and nagged people who broke a streak, and growth tests ran with no review.
Luwte gives Zeegras one pipeline for content and rights, one honest subscription journey and experiments that need an ethics check. The studio console takes each session from brief through script, recording, mastering, localisation and review to release in four languages, refuses a stage move until its checks pass, tracks every licence against the items it covers, and routes every test to the wellbeing lead before it can start.
A meditation app sells calm, so the product behind it has to be calm too: every session cleared for rights and wording in four languages, and every growth idea checked against Dutch and EU consumer rules before a member ever sees it.
Music beds, narrator voices, scripts and stock sound each come with their own territories, languages, media and end dates. With licences in a spreadsheet, nobody saw which live sessions a licence covered until a rights holder asked for one to be taken down.
Every session can exist in Dutch, English, German and French, each with its own translation, narrator, recording and mastering run. Versions fell out of step, and items stayed live in one language for months with the others missing.
Under the EU Medical Devices Regulation, software that claims to diagnose, treat or prevent a disease can be a medical device. Copy may say a session helps you wind down, but never that it treats insomnia, anxiety disorders or depression.
Consumer law and the ACM's guidance on online persuasion expect clear prices and trials, and cancelling online as easily as joining. Tests on paywall layout or reminder copy can slide into confirmshaming or guilt, and they were being run by whoever had access to the feature-flag tool.
Mapped 12 roles from member and family organiser to script editor, rights manager, wellbeing lead and narrators on an expiring upload link, and 49 screens across the mobile app, the web account area and the content studio console. Defined the data model for content items, language versions, scripts, mastering runs, contributors, licences, subscriptions, consents, mood entries and experiments, and wrote down the rules the design follows: wellness positioning under the MDR, GDPR and the UAVG, consent-based tracking, Dutch renewal and online cancellation rules, honest trials and prices, the 14-day withdrawal right, the European Accessibility Act and WCAG 2.1 AA.
Built 5 key studio screens on a production dashboard kit: the dashboard with subscriber KPIs by date range, new subscriptions by billing source, pipeline by stage, rights watch and needs attention; the pipeline board and table with stage exit checks; the content item with claims check, mastering report, localisation, rights warnings and release checklist; licences with renewals and end actions; and experiments with guardrails, the ethics checklist and results with confidence intervals. All actions run on local state.
The member mobile app and web account area, and the remaining console pages such as localisation, release calendar, curation, analytics, members, support and settings. Integration with App Store and Google Play billing, RevenueCat, Mollie for iDEAL, card and SEPA, AWS for audio delivery, Auphonic mastering, Lokalise or Phrase, push and Postmark email, GrowthBook and PostHog in the EU, HealthKit and Health Connect, and Zendesk. Staff roles with two-factor sign in, and an audit log of every price change, refund, experiment launch, rights change and member record opened.
A card cannot move on until its stage is complete: an approved script, a signed narrator agreement, mastering passed for every file, licences that cover each release territory, and a transcript. A refused move states the reason, and the quick view lists what is blocking the item.
The script tab highlights risky words such as cure, treat, therapy, insomnia, anxiety disorder and heal. The script editor rewords or accepts each flag before the script can be approved, so wellness copy stays wellness copy in every language.
Each licence shows its territories, languages, media, end date and the items it covers. The dashboard lists licences ending in 30, 60 and 90 days with the live items affected, and expired licences with live content is a KPI that should always read 0.
A standing notice bans tests on cancellation, trial or price disclosure, streak loss messaging, mood data and members under 18. Every experiment passes a four-point checklist with the wellbeing lead, and a test that changes how the annual price is shown is sent back for changes.

Designed and built a clickable staff console for a Tokyo HR-tech company's employee wellbeing platform: run the annual stress check, read group analysis that never shows a group under 10 people, follow physician interviews and track long working hours, with each piece of health information kept with the people allowed to see it.

Designed and built a clickable psychologist workspace for a Spanish online therapy platform that matches clients with licensed psychologists: today's sessions with a pre-session summary, availability and bookings, a private clinical record per client, and a message inbox that flags risk phrases and replies waiting too long.
