Membership Platform for Chilean Creators
Designed and built a clickable creator studio for a Santiago membership platform: tiered memberships priced in Chilean pesos, paywalled posts with access by tier, a member list that respects what each member agreed to share, and payouts that show every fee, refund and chargeback deducted.
Most of our work is under NDA. Per agreement, we can share the work but not the company details - all names and identifying information shown here have been changed.
Studio home, posts with a quick view panel, members, member detail and payouts with a payout detail panel. Each of the 26 demo members opens their own detail page.
Every payout breaks down gross, the 8% platform fee, processing at cost, refunds and chargebacks, withholding and net. The schedule states the CLP 20,000 minimum and the 14-day hold for new creators.
A declined renewal moves the member into a grace period with up to 3 attempts over 7 days. The studio home counts failed renewals that may still recover, and each member shows which retry is next.
26 members across 3 tiers and 6 countries, 17 posts across published, scheduled, draft and removed, and 11 monthly payouts including one failed transfer.
Mirador Chucao started as an agency running memberships by hand for about 300 Chilean creators. Creators sold access through foreign platforms that charged in US dollars, WhatsApp groups and Google Drive links that were shared publicly within days. Fans without international cards could not pay, payouts took weeks at poor exchange rates, nobody could say who was a paying member at any moment, and cancellations sent by email were missed and turned into chargebacks.
Quincho puts memberships, paywalled posts, community, payments in pesos and payouts into one product built for Chilean payment methods and rules. The creator studio shows who pays and who is about to lapse, which tiers can see each post, and exactly what will reach the creator's bank account and when.
A membership platform sits between creators, fans, payment providers and Mirador Chucao's own staff. Every charge, post and payout has to respect consumer, data protection, tax and copyright law in Chile, plus the platform's own policy on top.
Under Law 19.496, enforced by SERNAC, members must see the full price, renewal date and cancellation terms before paying, get a receipt for every charge and be able to cancel in the same channel they subscribed. Missed email cancellations were exactly what had led to complaints.
Law 21.719 substantially amends Law 19.628 and creates a new data protection agency. Quincho is designed for it now: a lawful basis per purpose, rights requests with deadlines, and care with sensitive data such as which creators a member pays for.
Creators receive money, so each one is identity checked, screened against sanctions lists and paid only to a bank account in their own name. Charges disputed under Law 20.009 come back as chargebacks that payouts must net off with fees and refunds, and the IVA and boleta de honorarios treatment is still to be confirmed with a tax adviser.
Chile's Law 17.336, as amended by Law 20.435, ties removal by hosting providers to a court order, while many rights holders send DMCA-style notices. Quincho runs a voluntary notice-and-takedown process on top, and creators need to see what was removed and why.
Mapped 10 user roles and 44 screens across the creator studio, the mobile-first member app and the back office, plus the data model for creators, tiers, posts, memberships, charges, payouts, moderation cases, copyright notices, disputes and privacy requests. Wrote down the rules the design follows: Laws 19.628 and 21.719, Law 19.496, Law 20.009, the Law 21.210 IVA regime and Law 17.336 as amended by Law 20.435.
Built the creator studio's 5 key screens on a production dashboard kit: studio home with KPIs, next payout, to-do list and members over time by tier, posts with tabs, filters, a calendar view and scan status, members and member detail with timeline, activity, messages and notes, and payouts with balances, schedule, deductions and statements. Search, notes, replies and post actions run on local state.
Integration with Transbank, Mercado Pago or Flow, dLocal and Stripe for pay-ins and payouts, Veriff or Truora for identity checks, ComplyAdvantage screening, an SII-authorised e-invoicing provider, Mux or Cloudflare Stream for media, content scanning and real-time chat. Role-based access for creator teams and staff, an audit trail on every moderation, refund, payout hold and fee change, and the member app and back office screens.
The studio home shows paying members, recurring revenue after discounts, new members and cancellations against last month, then a to-do list: unanswered messages, community reports, posts scheduled today, failed renewals and verification steps left.
Each post carries chips for who can see it: public, all members, named tiers or a pay-per-post price in pesos. Scheduled posts show a countdown, uploads show their scan status, and posts removed by staff keep the reason.
A member's email appears only if they agreed to share it with that creator, otherwise the list says so. Payments show amounts and status only, never card data, and notes stay private to the creator team.
Balance cards split available, pending and on hold, with the reason for a hold such as a chargeback under review. Each payout opens a breakdown of its charges and the tax document Quincho issued for its fee.

Designed and built a clickable creator studio for a Reykjavik network of independent podcasts: upload and process episodes, place mid-roll ad markers on the waveform, publish only when sponsor disclosure is in place, read downloads counted following IAB guidelines, and see earnings and payouts by source.

Designed and built a clickable browser-based AI video editor for a Tunis start-up that sells to social media teams, agencies and creators: projects organised by client folder, an AI clip finder that scores the best short-form moments in a long recording, and cloned voices that can only be used with their owner's recorded consent.
