Seller Dashboard for a Bolivian Craft Marketplace
Designed and built a clickable seller dashboard for a La Paz marketplace of handmade Andean textiles and crafts: a Today view of what to do first, orders grouped by dispatch date, listings checked for EU product safety data and protected materials, and payouts that explain every balance in plain language.
Most of our work is under NDA. Per agreement, we can share the work but not the company details - all names and identifying information shown here have been changed.
Today, the orders board, order detail, listings and payouts, with the order quick view, mark as shipped, listing quick view and payout detail panels.
Available, pending, reserved and held. Funds release 7 days after confirmed delivery or 21 days after shipping, a 10% new-seller reserve is held 90 days, and payouts land in bolivianos at the BCB rate.
Missing EU product safety fields are named on the listing, protected materials such as vicuña go to review with a CITES permit reference, and words like "antiguo" or "ceremonial" trigger heritage review.
A weaving cooperative with 5 credited makers and 3 team members, 21 orders across every status, 10 payouts including a returned one, and listings in all 8 states.
Qhatu Andino grew from a WhatsApp group and a spreadsheet. Staff typed listings, copied orders into messages to each workshop, bought courier labels by hand and paid sellers by bank transfer once a month. Sellers could not see what had sold or why a payment was smaller than expected, orders missed dispatch dates, EU buyers asked who the responsible person for a product was, and the team could not produce the seller data tax authorities and payment partners were starting to ask for.
Tocapu takes a seller from sign-up to payout on a phone first: identity and tax details through the payout provider, listings with variants, materials and EU safety data, orders with labels and tracking, buyer messages and reviews, and payouts and statements. A small staff console lets Qhatu Andino verify sellers, review flagged listings, manage reserves and collect DAC7 and 1099-K data.
Most sellers are Bolivian artisans, family workshops and weaving cooperatives working from an Android phone on a patchy mobile connection, selling to buyers in Latin America, the United States and the European Union, each with its own rules.
GPSR requires a manufacturer and an EU-based responsible person on listings offered to EU consumers, EU and US textile rules require fibre content, and the INFORM Consumers Act requires verified details from high-volume sellers. Missing data has to block a market, not the whole listing.
Vicuña fibre and some seeds, feathers and woods need CITES documentation, and Bolivian law restricts the export of heritage goods. Qhatu Andino's policy is stricter still: only new, contemporary work may be listed, and antique or ceremonial pieces are blocked for review.
Commission, processing fees, label costs, refunds, release timing and a new-seller reserve all change what lands in the bank, and payouts arrive in bolivianos while prices are in US dollars. Sellers saw a smaller transfer with no breakdown.
DAC7 depends on where a seller is resident, not where buyers are, and Form 1099-K on the payee's tax status and thresholds. Qhatu Andino needed residence, tax forms and running totals for every seller to know who, if anyone, is reportable.
Mapped 9 roles, from shop owner, manager and packer to trust and safety, finance and tax reporting staff, 36 screens across the seller app, the staff console and public pages, and the data model for sellers, shops, makers, listings, variants, orders, shipments, balance movements, payouts, reserves and tax profiles. Wrote down the rules the design follows: DAC7, Form 1099-K, the INFORM Consumers Act, GPSR, DSA Article 30, textile labelling, CITES, Bolivian heritage law and GDPR for EU buyers.
Built 5 key seller screens on a production dashboard kit, in Spanish with US dollar prices and bolivianos payouts: Today with to-do panels and the next payout, the orders board with overdue, due today and due later columns, order detail with customs and earnings, listings with review flags and EU readiness, and payouts with history and a line breakdown. Marking an order shipped moves it to Shipped on local state.
Integration with a payout provider such as Payoneer or PayPal Hyperwallet for KYC, tax forms and payouts, Adyen or Stripe for card acquiring, EasyPost or Shippo for labels and tracking, WhatsApp Business and SMS notifications, DeepL translation and the BCB exchange rate. Role-based access, the onboarding wizard, messages, reviews, statements, tax documents and the Qhatu Andino staff console with DAC7 and 1099-K reporting runs.
Orders to ship are split into overdue, due today and due later with a Ship button on each, alongside messages waiting against the 24-hour reply target, listings that need attention, reviews without a response, open policy warnings and tax and identity status.
Each order shows its commission, processing fee, label cost, refunds and the seller's earnings with the date funds become available. Each balance card states its rule, and each payout opens into the movements it includes.
A listing shows whether EU buyers can see it and names the missing fields, lists materials with percentages, and flags protected materials or heritage keywords before publication rather than after a complaint.
The ship-to address shows while the order is open and for 90 days after delivery, then is masked. Marking an order shipped without tracking is allowed, but the panel warns that international parcels without tracking count against the shop's valid tracking rate in account health.

Designed a mobile-first headless storefront for an Andorran outdoor apparel brand selling to Andorra, the EU, the UK and Switzerland, and built a clickable demo of its staff admin: storefront health, merchandising rules, a collection grid editor, CMS content status and per-market prices, taxes and legal settings.

Designed and built a clickable subscription platform for a specialty coffee roaster shipping across the contiguous US: a care workspace to skip, swap, pause, refund and cancel for subscribers, a cancel log that replays every screen a subscriber saw, and fulfilment batches that hold boxes with an unverified address, a failed payment or short stock.
