Impact

8 Weeks
Prototype to App Store

1 week scope, 2 weeks clickable AI prototype, 5 weeks production build with multi-chain integration.

5 chains
Native support

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple and Avalanche supported natively in one wallet.

Self-custody
Keys never leave device

Hardware-backed keystore on iOS and Android, biometric unlock, optional cloud-encrypted backup.

MAS-TRM
Singapore-aligned

Built to MAS Technology Risk Management guidelines for Singapore-licensed operators.

The Problem

NovaWallet's target users wanted self-custody without the friction of running a power-user wallet. Existing options were either chain-specific, full of advanced settings, or required users to trust an exchange's hot wallet.

Our Solution

We delivered a multi-chain self-custody mobile wallet that supports the five most-held assets in Singapore retail, with one-tap send/receive/swap, ENS-style human-readable recipients, and a clean activity feed — validated through a clickable AI prototype before any chain integration.

The Challenge: Self-Custody Without the Power-User Tax

Most self-custody wallets feel like they were built for engineers. NovaWallet's users wanted bank-app-level UX with full custody and multi-chain support.

Multi-Chain Without Mode Switching

Existing wallets force users to switch between chain-specific apps. NovaWallet had to surface BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP and AVAX in a single token list with one consistent send/receive flow.

Recipient Friction

Long hex addresses kill UX. Users wanted ENS-style human-readable recipients with clear network selection and confirmation.

Self-Custody UX

Recovery phrases, PIN, biometrics and backup all need to feel safe without scaring non-technical users away.

MAS-TRM Compliance

Singapore's MAS-TRM imposes strict technology risk requirements on wallets operated by licensed entities — auditability, secure storage, and incident response.

Our Approach: 3 Phases in 8 Weeks

01

Discovery & Scope

Week 1: embedded with NovaWallet's product and crypto-engineering teams to map onboarding, send, receive, swap, and activity flows across all five chains.

02

AI-Driven Clickable Prototype

Weeks 2–3: built a fully interactive iOS and Android prototype with mocked balances, swap quotes and activity, so the team could click through every flow before any chain integration.

03

Production Build & Launch

Weeks 4–8: shipped the production wallet for iOS and Android with hardware-backed key storage, multi-chain send/receive, in-app swap, ENS-style recipients, and a clean activity feed.

Why It Works: Outcome-Based Differentiation

Speed to Value

Most self-custody wallets take 9–18 months to ship to App Store. We delivered a clickable AI prototype in 2 weeks and a production wallet in 8.

AI-First Prototyping

Every flow — onboarding, send, receive, swap, activity — was validated in the prototype before we touched a single chain integration.

Single Accountable Team

Design, AI prototyping, on-chain integration and mobile engineering under one roof — no handoff between an app studio and a crypto-integrations vendor.

Outcome-Based Engagement

NovaWallet paid for milestones and live functionality, not hours. Our incentives were tied directly to shipping a wallet that users actually held funds in.
